Accessing the library at this north entrance requires stair climbing or the use of a pedestrian ramp that does not meet standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. For an accessible entrance to Hatcher Library, go to floor 1 of Hatcher South.

The Information Services desk is on your right when you enter the building. The following spaces are labeled in a clockwise direction from the of the page, which is the north end of the building and entrance:

Staff space*, Hatcher Gallery Exhibit Room, Hatcher Gallery Event Space and Exhibit Space, Humanities Collaboratory, east elevators, Gallery Lab, access to books stacks for call numbers AC to AP, center elevator, staff space*, book stacks for call numbers AS and PN, book stacks for AS to AZ, International Studies reference collection, staff space*, International Studies reading room and staff space*, main elevators, a women’s restroom with lactation room, and interlibrary loan office*. The west stairs are an emergency exit. The full range of call numbers on this floor is AC to AZ and PN.
