Media Production Rooms

Find high-quality media production and post-production software and equipment in our 3 media production rooms.

You can use a room on your own or our staff can assist you with your recording session. 

Accessing the media production rooms

To access our production rooms, you must complete two brief online training modules in Canvas that cover our policies, procedures, and hardware. You’ll receive instructions on how to reserve a room after you complete the training.

You can reserve one room per day for up to 3 hours. Reservations must be made at least 12 hours in advance and can be made up to 2 weeks out. 

Contact the Shapiro Design Lab at shapirodesignlab@umich.edu to:

• Request an extended recording session (longer than 3 hours),
• Reserve a room for a date more 2 weeks out, or
• Discuss your needs if you expect to need help using the room.
