About the space

Take in views of campus from south-facing windows while studying in this quiet space. There are two seating areas on the floor: one within the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) and another in the open area between the SCRC and book stacks.

In the open space, there are armchairs and low tables, as well as tables with a chair on either side and a divider down the center for privacy. Inside the SCRC, you’ll find tables that seat up to 4 people at movable chairs.

The perimeter of the other half of the floor is lined by bookable weekly carrels and long-term research carrels around the stacks.

The SCRC is not open the full hours of the library building. The study space inside is available Monday through Friday until 5pm.
