I joined Library Technical Services in June 2020 as the Library Services Platform Training Manager to lead the development of necessary training as part of the University of Michigan Library’s migration from Aleph to new LSP, Alma . My job entails outlining a multi-level plan to provide training related to LSP use, and future course development for new library employees. Using incorporated change management principles I engage in unit workflow examination and revision, developing and implementing a pre through post migration training strategy, peer-to-peer training opportunities, and mapping training needs for individual library units. I work closely with the Library Services Platform Steering Committee as well as unit leads to meet specific knowledge goals.
Past committee experience includes: Library Staff Forum Board (Secretary), Sharing Across One Library Team (Chair) and Staff Innovation Service Team (Co-lead). I am currently a member of the LSP Steering and Training Committees, Technical Services Managers & the Library Sustainability Planning Group.
