TOME: Toward an Open Monograph Ecosystem

The University of Michigan is a charter participant in a transformative publishing initiative developed by the Association of American Universities (AAU), Association of Research Libraries (ARL), and Association of University Presses (AUPresses).

TOME promotes the digital dissemination of humanities scholarship by providing academic publishers sufficient funds to produce and distribute an open access version of long-form scholarly works. Through our participation in this effort, the University of Michigan seeks to increase academic and public engagement with humanities scholarship produced by our faculty.

For more information about the program and how to apply, please see links in the menu at left.
