As the largest collection of ancient documents in North America, the Michigan Papyrology Collection is an extraordinary resource available to the University community.
We are happy to make ourselves available for:
- instruction sessions for individuals or classes on how to use the collection and resources
- lessons ranging from a general overview of our collection and the field of papyrology to in-depth presentations on specific materials and their historical contexts
- supplementing your K-12 class curriculum
- visits from other interested groups with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 people
To schedule an instruction session or class visit to the Papyrology Collection, please submit your request by completing the Instruction Session/Visit Request Form, providing at least two weeks advance notice. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate private tours.
