Papyrology: Instruction and Class Visits

As the largest collection of ancient documents in North America, the Michigan Papyrology Collection is an extraordinary resource available to the University community.

We are happy to make ourselves available for:

  • instruction sessions for individuals or classes on how to use the collection and resources
  • lessons ranging from a general overview of our collection and the field of papyrology to in-depth presentations on specific materials and their historical contexts
  • supplementing your K-12 class curriculum
  • visits from other interested groups with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 people

To schedule an instruction session or class visit to the Papyrology Collection, please submit your request by completing the Instruction Session/Visit Request Form, providing at least two weeks advance notice. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate private tours.
