About the space

The Reference Reading Room is an expansive space on floor 2 of Hatcher North. The room is airy with high vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light from tall windows.

Most seating is at lines of long tables with wooden chairs. Reading lamps divide each table down the center. There are electrical outlets on the underside of the tables for charging.

Bookshelves housing our non-circulating reference collection cover the walls around the room. You’ll find armchairs and side tables tucked near some of them.
