Microform Readers and Scanners
We can help you use microform equipment at Serials and Microforms Services in Hatcher Library. There are 3 machines available.
You can also read, scan or print copies of microform content in the following locations around campus:
- Buhr Reading Room: Microfilm scanners attached to two guest computers
- Music Library: One scanner each on floors 4 and 5
- Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library: Scanner at the information services desk on floor 2
What is microform? Microforms are very small reproductions of documents that require special viewing equipment to read. Traditionally created for storage and preservation purposes, microform content can include back issues of newspapers, manuscripts, maps, and other materials.
