I have been a part of the Human Resource team for the University of Michigan Library since 2015. I currently serve as the Human Resource Manager for the library, and prior to this I served in a generalist / partner role. I lead the operations of the HR team and provide strategic and consultative human resource support in matters such as compensation, recruiting, workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and university policies. I also serve on the Library's Workforce Strategy Team and the University Human Resources Community of Practice Mentoring Committee. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, I worked at Lockheed Martin in numerous HR generalist and specialist roles including labor relations, recruitment, and diversity and equal opportunity programs. I also currently serve as the past president of the Michigan chapter of the College and University Professional Association in Human Resources (CUPA-HR.) 

I have a Masters in Business Administration from Michigan State University, a Bachelors in Sociology from Northwestern University, and over 18 years of human resources experience in the public and private sectors. I have a certification as a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
