About me

I provide advanced reference expertise and research assistance for the Ask a Librarian service, working with users in-person, as well as via phone/text, email, and instant messaging. I serve as Head of the Library's Public Services Wiki Team. I contribute to the functioning of the Ask a Librarian reference service, and the Consultation & Discovery team more broadly, through reference training, reference scheduling, collecting statistics, research guide editing, service assessment, and serving on library committees. Much of my committee work is focused on creating, maintaining, and improving electronic resources, information discovery, and web content. Another core focus of my committee service is working toward the improvement of workplace culture and climate for both library staff and library student staff.

I provide one-on-one virtual consultations; you can book an appointment with a member of the Ask a Librarian team using LibCal Appointments.

Beyond my MLIS, my educational background is in Anthropology and Museum Studies. Prior to working at the U-M Library, I was a research secretary for the U-M School of Public Health's Detroit Community-Academic Urban Research Center (Detroit URC). I also have experience working in several other libraries with various roles in reference, technical services, circulation, information technology, and communications.
