I work in the production unit for Publishing Services in Michigan Publishing. In my role, I oversee the production of academic journals in both Michigan's open access journals program and open access journals programs for external clients, including Aperio Press at the University of Virginia. I shepherd journal issues from initial document stage through copyediting, typesetting, cover design, to final digital (and occasional print) publication and distribution, while communicating frequently with journal editors, authors, and vendors, setting and maintaining production schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met.
