Health Sciences Informationist

For 6 years I taught the basic speech course in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University. Later, I decided to earn another master's degree in Library and Information Science, from WSU's School of Information Science. After graduating with a MLIS in December 2017, I began working as an Ask a Librarian Specialist at the University of Michigan Hatcher/Shapiro libraries. This is where I gained experience working with Learning and Teaching and Connected Scholarship. This is also where I became more knowledgable about the information needs of the U-M community. In 2019, I began working as an informationist at the Taubman Health Sciences Library, where I currently carry out my passion for applying my information skills to assist the health sciences community at U-M.

MLIS, Wayne State University 2017; MA, Wayne State University 2008; BAA, Central Michigan University  2003

As a member of the Academic and Clinical Engagement team, I partner with our health sciences schools and Michigan Medicine to advance the research, academic, and clinical enterprises of the university. I focus on teaching, curriculum integration, and systematic searching. I am also the informationist for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
