As a Web Project Manager & Content Strategist, I am part of the Design & Discovery unit in Library Information Technology and lead efforts around the library website and other platforms and applications within the web presence, always bringing a content strategy lens across projects. I began this role in October 2017 after serving as a User Experience Specialist for two years, where I contributed to all areas of user experience, with a focus on content and information architecture. In my library career, I have had a wide array of duties including reference, instruction, circulation, interlibrary loan, collection development, web services and systems. I love being able to apply my past experience to projects and collaborations here at U-M and thrive on working with colleagues across the organization.
Prior to joining the U-M Library, I was part of the team at Norwich University's Kreitzberg Library and worked to cultivate a user experience mindset through leading by example, creating a more cohesive web presence, and concentrated efforts in user research, documentation, and well-written content. My initial role as Distance Learning Librarian laid the groundwork for my interest in UX work in libraries and during my time as Head of Digital Services, I managed all web content and oversaw digital services and technology for the library and archives.
I serve on a number of Association of College & Research Libraries committees, including membership on the College & Research Libraries News Board. I'm currently a member of the Membership Committee and previously served as Chair for the ACRL Professional Development Committee and on numerous ACRL Conference Committees.
I hold an MLIS from Wayne State University and a BA in English from Oakland University.
