About me
I have had a rather meandering career through a variety of specializations including - web development, video and multimedia production, animation, print and software design; as well as system, hardware, CMS and database administration.
In addition to my technical career, I've taken time to pursue academic interests, having earned an MS in Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin, an MA in Anthropology from Portland State University, as well as a BFA in Film and Television from New York University.
I joined the UM Library Web Systems team (now part of Design and Discovery) as a Drupal Developer in May 2014 after working in a similar capacity at the Brown University Library for the TAPAS Project, and at the Registrar's Office of UT Austin. Prior to that I worked as a web and multimedia developer in the marketing department at Lone Star College, as well as in print design in Portland, Oregon and in software design and video editing in southern California.
I am mainly responsible for Drupal development, implementation and maintenance at lib.umich.edu, staff.lib.umich.edu, sali.lib.umich.edu and blogs.lib.umich.edu. I also work on EZProxy resource authentication, staff and department data retrieval, and some server, tdx and react maintenance.
