As User Experience & Accessibility Specialist in the Design & Discovery department, I collaborate with students, faculty and staff to create inclusive human-centered products and services. My responsibilities include leading user research, design and accessibility activities on Design & Discovery projects and collaborating with library and campus partners to advocate for improved accessibility and usability for web products and services.
I have a M.S.I.L.S. degree in Information and Library Science (with a concentration in user experience and digital libraries) from Pratt Institute in 2013 and an M.F.A. with a concentration in sculpture and interactive media from Pratt Institute in 2012. I have worked as a user experience designer since 2011. I earned a B.F.A. in sculpture and interactive media from the University of Utah in 2006. I recently worked as an Assistant Librarian at St. Joseph's College Library (Brooklyn, NY), a Librarian at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Library (Brooklyn, NY) and a User Experience Designer at Worry Free Labs (NY, NY). In both my professional and academic work I have enjoyed building compelling interactions between people, collections, services and spaces.
