I have worked at the Shapiro Undergraduate Library since January 2000, and during that time have focused on library instruction, student outreach, and reference services. I lead the initiatives that reside under the Student Engagement Program, including Student Mini Grants, Engagement Fellows, and Student Ambassadors. I am also the liaison to the various learning communities on campus by teaching specialized information literacy sessions to these groups, connecting the MLCs with other librarian subject specialists who can better serve a particular disciplinary need, and offer online resources that will help support the common curriculum for some MLCs. My research interests include library instruction assessment, the importance of high impact learning practices, and the first year experience. I have a Library and Information Science Degree from Kent State University, and a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from The University of Toledo.
- I work remotely for part of the week; email is the best way to contact me. I'm happy to schedule in-person consultations and meetings.
