Martin Knott

Metadata and Linked Data Strategist

About me

Martin is responsible for developing a forward-thinking strategic vision for the essential services and technologies that enhance discovery of University of Michigan Library collection material via linked data. He maintains a focus on the linked data landscape and monitors developments in emerging standards and projects, identifies potential internal and external partners, and contributes to the development of strategies and priorities for the Library. He has a leadership role in preparing members of the Technical Services department and coordinating with other technical services operations within the Library to undertake work relevant to linked data and metadata initiatives. He also develops and leads or coordinates training within the Library as rules and standards arise and change.
