Martin is provides expertise for digital and video resource cataloging, including training and project coordination. He also advises department leadership on technologies impacting metadata management. He maintains a focus on the linked data and generative artificial intelligence landscapes,  monitors developments in emerging standards, identifies potential partners, and contributes to the development of strategies and priorities for the Library. He has a leadership role in preparing members of the Technical Services department and coordinating with other technical services operations within the Library to undertake work relevant to linked data and metadata initiatives.
