The Bentley Historical Library, an independent library on our north campus, was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the University and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. The Library's collections are represented in U-M Library Catalog Search, with the location of "Bentley Historical." Please visit the Bentley Historical Library web site for details on conducting research in that library as well as hours and location. Please use the Ask an Archivist service for your questions about the collections and research services.
