HS-STEM · ResearchAbout me
In my role as Health Equity Informationist, I am part of Academic and Clinical Engagement at Taubman Health Sciences Library. I hold a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. My undergraduate degrees are in history, with an emphasis on American history.
I am new to the University of Michigan but I am eager to collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to explore what health equity means. We know that there are systemic inequalities within our healthcare and medical education systems, by identifying and combatting these inequalities, we can begin to close the gaps in health disparities.
Please reach out if you are considering research in any of the following areas:
- LGBTQIA+ health care
- Racial disparities in medicine
- Social determinants of health, for example: safe housing, health literacy, and socioeconomic status
- Health outcomes for historically underrepresented groups
