Data Curation Librarian
I work with library professionals, students, and faculty researchers to support data management planning and implementation across the research process. Most of my work is focused on helping people prepare to share and archive their data in the University of Michigan’s data repository, Deep Blue Data. I am available for consultations with individuals, labs or teams, and departments.
I am the 2020-2022 Secretary for the Research Data Access and Preservation Association, and also teach a summer course on Data Services in Libraries for the San Jose State University iSchool. I am particularly interested in data repositories as storehouses for cultural heritage, and opportunities to provide services to research communities who may be undersupported in data management, dissemination, and preservation. I am currently working on a research project looking at Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility considerations around research data management.
I hold an MLIS and an MA in Museology, and a BA in English Literature and Latin.
