About me

I acquire books in English Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, Pedagogy, Writing, German Studies, and Asian Studies. I also work with scholars on innovative digital projects, from digital-born books to exciting new teaching tools. My work involves providing editorial feedback on content and scholarship and developmental editing for pedagogical work. I am especially interested in producing scholarship that encourages learning and supports the growth of students and scholars.

My own area of research is in eighteenth-century British history, with a focus on women, crime, social class, and the social world of London. I teach upper-level courses in history and graduate courses on writing. Prior to joining the University of Michigan Press team, I lectured at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I received my Ph.D. in History from The University of Michigan in 2021 and an MA in History and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Bowling Green State University in 2014.
