Joseph Pratt is in charge of the day to day operations of the following library services:

1) Environmental monitoring of U-M Library collection spaces and maintenance of data collection files for this project.

2) Measuring damaged or unrepairable books and fitting them to boxes that will contain them when they are on the shelf. 

3) Currently managing a project of boxing or enclosing all books and items that need to be protected at Buhr stacks.

Mr. Pratt's training is in molecular biology and music. He has worked at U-M Library since 1996 during which time he has become acquainted with many tasks done at the U-M Library Department of Preservation.
