I am the Safety Coordinator for the University of Michigan Library, a new position as of March 2026; and I am a part of the Library Facilities department in Hatcher Graduate Library North Rm #1. My role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining safety training programs for the Library; partnering with U-M campus partners such as the Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) and their Guest Services (GSS) program operations in the Library; coordinating Library security measures in the areas of building safety and security technology; and assisting with addressing Library maintenance needs. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics - with related work experience in public library branch management, employee and patron safety, and community partnerships.
