I handle day-to-day requests from staff and Library patrons regarding building issues and other things relevant to the quality of our office, public, and collections storage spaces. I also field staff requests for phones and new network infrastructure, report needed repairs to University Facilities and Operations and ensure their completion, coordinate with building trades and outside contractors on small construction projects like painting, recarpeting, and windowshade installation, and liaise with the Office of Campus Sustainability about the Library's energy use and projects related to sustainability. My role also involves writing and maintaining a manual of procedures for the facilities office, maintaining the backend of the Facilities office ticketing system, and working with Xerox on issues that arise with the printers they have in staff office spaces.
