Demographic info. is from 1990 Census. A related database is School District Data Book Profiles (http://govinfo.kerr.orst.edu/sddb-stateis.html) Data is available for each school year at three levels: Agency -- School -- State. An Agency is usually the school district, and a School is usually the individual schools within that district. State is usually the main state agency that deals with elementary and secondary education. Then follow the instructions. You will end up with separate icons for School - Agency-State, as well as icons for various help guides. Using the CD After choosing an icon (School, Agency, or State) you will be taken to a search menu box. Use the dropdown menus to pick the school year and state you wish to search. Type in other information such as Macomb for city location to get Macomb school or district information. Then hit Enter to start your search. Hitting the D in the menu bar will display the first record of your search under the first category of information. Use the solid left and right arrows from the menu bar to go back and forth between records (e.g. different schools or different school years if you didn't specify a particular year at the start). Use the Detail Screens menu choice to change categories of information. Additional guides are available by clicking on Help from the upper menu bar.
