If you'd like to get some help, type in the box when the green dot appears (Ask a Librarian is available). We answer questions in a "first come first served" manner. If we are not online, please choose another method in the left menu to contact us.

Ask a Librarian

Ask a Librarian is tailored to the research needs of UM students, staff and faculty, but any one can inquire about specific UM library resources and services. You can connect to a librarian by IM, email, phone or in person, and via text message.

We now offer a text messaging service. Contact us at 734-315-0507 with the text feature on your cell phone. If you'd like to speak with a librarian, see our list of phone numbers.

Instant message us with your AOL, Yahoo or Google Talk IM account using our screen name: umlibraryaskus.
