Whether this is of use or not in helping patrons with these specific items (and note that the URL is printed on the later copies), it serves to illustrate, once again, that it is no "moveable feast" "back here," and I can outbore anybody with technical and workload matters. And, once again, it is not because I am "mean," that I would rather not have GPO stuff and lists thereof casually commingled with other library services and materials, but because I am kindly and altrusitic almost beyond my own comprehension. Your govdoc pal, Terry "Advanced Training in GovDocs : Lesson 1" Take this home with you, keep it, study it, amaze your friends. Note to students: What this "case study" does is illustrate how not very bright decisions in D.C. coupled with mishandling at this end can virtually and actually lose material both in the Roslin records and in the stacks. The "spiritual application" is BEWARE! There are many documents with similar titles, formats, colors, SuDocs. If it isn't *exactly* right, it gets lost. Commerce: Census is the worst, but Labor is no picnic. Be careful! The first list is "made up" by me. The other lists are from ROSLIN. What is the point of the first list? These six periodicals (some would not call them that) have in common that they all have the same masthead: NEWS United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics Washington D.C. with the "title" being the "headline." Note that in an array of SuDoc numbers these are comingled with items *without* the masthead. "News" as the title produces only two items ("BLS reports on" has the masthead but is not exactly a periodical. . .) Add to this: a title/coverage change (we should be getting a new series "Regional and State. . .") *and* a note for one entry that the "Title may vary slightly" and the chaos accumulated over the years in the Roslin records and the six-eight file boxes of these in the stacks was well nigh unimaginable. Thanks to Andy and Michelle for doing two "shuffles" of these that saved me having to take two-three times the amount of time to straighten them out at last (with a few "parts left over," of course, and some missing that were checked in, assuming the checker knew what he was checking in. . .Hoo-boy!) And with these and other titles online why bother? Because I have signed oaths with the FDLP in D.C. saying I would bother. ********* L 2.53/2 The Employment Situation L 2.60/3 U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes L 2.111/5 State and Metropolitan Area Employment and Unemployment (-Dec.
