About me

Born in New Orleans, I am the youngest of five.  My father was in Civilian Personnel with the Air Force and so I lived a bit of the Military lifestyle, moving from the Gulf Coast to Wiesbaden, Germany to Georgia to Virginia.

I received my B.A. In English, with a Minor in Philosophy at the University of Virginia and my MLS at the University of Maryland.

I am the Acquisitions Project Librarian having joined the Library as the Head of Monograph Acquisitions in October 2005.

Prior to moving to Michigan I was the College Librarian at Rappahannock Community College in Virginia. During that time I served as the Community College representative to VIVA, the Virtual Library of Virginia, the consortium of nonprofit academic libraries within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Before that, that I served as the Electronic Reference Service Coordinator at The Library of Virginia, the State Library in Richmond. Earlier experiences include Electronic Resources and Adult Services at the Williamsburg Public Library (VA) and Assistant Branch Librarian at the Riverside Branch of the New York Public Library.

I no longer have an office phone number. I work remotely full-time. Please contact me via email.
