Upcoming Talk | Islamic Traditions of Papermaking in India

Papermaker and letterpress printer Radha Pandey will join us this Thursday (30th March) for a lecture focused on the history and contemporary legacy of papermaking in India. She will follow her lecture with a papermaking demonstration featuring the traditional Islamic methods she has studied.

Pandey earned her MFA in Book Arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book. She has studied Western and Asian Papermaking techniques with Timothy Barrett and teaches book arts classes in India and the US.

All are welcome to join us for the lecture and papermaking demonstration at 1 pm Thursday in the Hatcher Graduate Library Gallery (Room 100).
