Background
Prior to coming to University of Michigan, I worked for 13 years as a hand bookbinder. Coupling that experience with a passion for the printed word and a life-long rage for order, I find each workday at Special Collections and U of M Press an abiding joy.
Responsibilities
• Assist with the accessioning of newly-acquired collections of papers, manuscripts, records, photographs, audiovisual material, and other non-book material in all subject areas. • Assist with materials delivery to and retrieval from Buhr stacks. • Reconfiguring and maintaining of Buhr shelving and stacks materials. • Processing of parcels and letters; via UPS, USPS, and DHL • Maintenance of Press archive, vault, and component storage
