About me

I received a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan in 1988. My focus of study was geography, supplemented by anthropology and English. I received a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University.

I am the Director of the Social Sciences and Clark Library for Maps, Government Information and Data Services Team with responsibilities for managing staff, reference and technical services, and exhibits and programming. I am a selector for geographic and cartographic materials, and provide reference and instructional assistance for maps, the history of cartography, and geography. I have a special research interest in the Dutch cartographers of the 16th and 17th centuries and pictorial maps. I offer instruction to any groups, including K-12, interested in learning about maps, the history of cartography, and our collections.
