About

I am an Information Resources Supervisor in the Onsite User Services division of Library Operations.  I work in Hatcher/Shapiro Access Services. My supervisory focus is on Shapiro Circulation and Askwith Media Library.  I also supervise University Reserves, including faculty services. You'll primarily find me Monday-Friday, 9a-5p, at one of the service points or in the Circulation / University Reserves Office (1154 Shapiro, enter the first floor glass  doors, and it's the first room on the west side).  Feel free to email me if you have any questions related to Circulation or Reserves.

Background

I have worked for the University Library since 2001.  I have helped contribute to the success of several department mergers in this time.   I studied Sociology at U of M, with specializations in social inequality and social welfare.

Responsibilities

I oversee all the services of the Shapiro Circulation operation during the day and afternoon, as well as operations for the Askwith Media Library.  I also oversee University Reserves, which includes both student and faculty services, as well as behind-the-scenes processing of materials.  The University Reserves print collection is now located in the Askwith Media Library!  Please check Library Hours for our extended Askwith Media Library hours.

I am currently serving on my second year as member of the Library Diversity Council.  While on LDC, I have helped develop a University Library workshop for library staff around the program "Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts: Communicating Respectfully in a Diverse World."  This will be an ongoing staff development opportunity, so please check the registration page for upcoming sessions!
