As the Women's Studies & Publishing Services Librarian, I have a dual role as a both a subject and functional specialist. In my capacity as the Women's Studies Librarian, I assist students and faculty working on women's and gender studies in a range of disciplines. I teach students how to do research, and I purchase and maintain collections of books, journals, and electronic resources on the study of women and gender.
In my role as Publishing Services Librarian, I am part of a team that creates and provides publishing services to meet the needs of the University of Michigan community. I create instructional materials in a variety of formats to teach students, scholars, and librarians about current issues in academic publishing and scholarly communication, and teach classes or offer one-on-one consultations on these topics.
