As Instruction Librarian for the Copyright Office of Michigan Publishing, I teach sessions on copyright basics, fair use and other aspects of using copyrighted materials in the academic setting. In addition, I create and manage training standards for the Copyright Review Management System grant bringing together copyright reviewers from a number of library partners across the country.
I have been working at the University of Michigan Library since 2004 in Michigan Information Transfer Source (MITS) and as Special Projects Librarian for MLibrary Document Delivery. There I collaborated with Interlibrary Loan staff to support the research needs of library users and my work focused on marketing MITS, web usability, process improvement and obtaining copyright permissions for document delivery. I hold an MSI from the University of Michigan School of Information, an MM in Conducting from Southern Oregon University and a BA in English and Music education from Hope College, MI.
