Information Resources Associate Supervisor
Currently I supervise the part time employees who maintain the physical collection at the Taubman Health Science Library. I also oversee facilities issues relating to our physical space. This has involved everything from the incorporation of the Dentistry and Public Health collections, modifying the layout of the physical stacks, as well as dealing with the day to day issues that arise with a building that is more than 30 years old.
Since graduating from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Architecture (’84) I have worked in the field of architecture, as an assistant to my father who was a city planner, for a local arts and crafts business, as well as several years in landscape architecture/installation/maintenance. I have tried to continue my education with continuing education courses, attending conferences and workshops, in addition to training in U of M’s Facilities Professional Certificate Program.
Oversee space and facilities by incorporating existing collection maintenance and managing the transition to an electronic library, as well as other space and facilities initiatives.
