Currently I work out of the Hatcher Graduate Library Facilities Office (75%) and the Stacks Office (25%).
Since graduating from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Architecture (’84) I have worked in the field of architecture, as an assistant to my father who was a city planner, for a local arts and crafts business, as well as several years in landscape architecture/installation/maintenance. I have tried to continue my education with continuing education courses, attending conferences and workshops, in addition to training in U of M’s Facilities Professional Certificate Program.
Oversee space and facilities by incorporating existing collection maintenance and managing the transition to an electronic library, as well as other space and facilities initiatives. This involves anything from such large initiatives like moving the Health Sciences Library collection (~95%) to an off site location to more mundane but necessary tasks like shifting the collection to make space for future growth or mopping up a spilled cup of coffee.
