Erik Saran
About
Erik is an original cataloger, working on a variety of materials, including: Special Collections materials, microforms, DVDs, screenplays for the Donald Hall Collection Library, maps, and video games.
Background
Erik has worked for the Library since 1990. He began cataloging monograph microfilms, filmed by the Library, funded through the National Endowment for the Humanites. He also handled withdrawals and transfers, and managed the former Library Book Store, which was open from 2001-2005. Before starting in Original Cataloging in 2009, Erik worked in the Electronic Access Unit, first created in 2007.
Responsibilities
Provide original and copy cataloging for print materials from throughout the Library.
