Electronic Resources Specialist
I work with a team of troubleshooters from the Electronic Access Unit to investigate outage reports concerning electronic resources.
If librarians, faculty, or staff are having problems with electronic resources (Articles Plus, MGetIt, databases, Mirlyn links, etc.) and no current outage exists for the problem on the library's outages website (https://www.lib.umich.edu/outages), they may email a report with details of the problem to email@example.com . Generally we respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday.
I also review digitized print material and determine the copyright status of each item using the CRMS Management System, a program created for the copyright reviewing process by the University of Michigan. If we determine that an item is safely in the public domain, it can be viewed in Hathi Trust.
