B.S. in Education from Marywood University in Scranton, PA.
Upon graduating, I completed a year of service in Colorado with AmeriCorps and continued on as a 5th grade teacher within my service district. After segueing into the library world, I worked for four years with the Denver Public Library. I moved to Ann Arbor in the fall of 2008 and started working at the Buhr Remote Shelving Facility in 2009. My time there was split between Buhr stacks responsibilities and processing materials for the Michigan Digitization Project.
I joined Special Collections in July of 2014. My main responsibilities include working directly with our curators, as well as interdepartmentally (Cataloging, Tech Services & Preservation) in Hatcher and North Buhr to prioritize the processing of collections in both building locations. Additionally, I also prep items in various stages of the cataloging process. My main objectives are to maintain efficient workflows between involved departments and to provide access to materials for our patrons as well as curators requesting teaching and exhibit materials. I also spend several hours a week on the 8th floor reading room desk.
I was very fortunate to have served as a volunteer member of the Staff Representation Advisory Committee from Nov. 2011-Jan.2013. Currently, I'm a member of the Library Customer Service Committee.
