Searching Course Reserves in MIRLYN
Searching Course Reserves
Finding Your Course
This option is necessary to see a list of everything that is presently on reserve for your class including electronic and physical reserves.
In order to search course reserves in MIRLYN, you must login to "MIRLYN" in the two locations marked with yellow arrows.

Now that you have logged in you need to select the course reserves tab marked here with a yellow arrow to search for your course.

You can then find the link to electronic reserves by searching for your course or instructor's name. You should see "Electronic Reserves for [name of course] -
[term and year]" with a little disk and lighning bolt. (example: Electronic Reserves for - SI 601 Special Topics - Fall 2006). Click on this link; in the full record that appears, then click on the URL.

Finding Items by Title (Books & Other Physical Items)
If you know the name of the reserve item that you are looking for--in particular, a single item on physical reserve behind the reserve circulation desk, you can use the drop down menu in the course reserve search.
Search examples will appear under the search box.
A list of items will be returned to you; choose the one which is closest to your title, and you will be taken to a list of brief records, if there are many items, or a full record, if there is but one item. Call numbers and locations will be displayed in either case:

Items at University Reserves will be designated by "Shapiro Undergraduate - Reserves" as in the example above. If there are other locations, they will also be displayed in the list.
