University Reserves

What's the status of my reserves request?

We are currently processing for Fall 2008.

We are currently processing requests made on 9/16/2008.

What does this mean?

Due to the high volume of reserves requests that University Reserves receives each semester, we process on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requests made before the semester deadline (below) are given priority, and thereafter, we process in date order. Based on when you placed your request, the date above should help let you know when your items will begin to be available.

To find out the date you placed your request, please visit the Reserves Database

  1. Go to the database: <http://www.lib.umich.edu/reserves/ures/>.
  2. Click on the tab at the top labled "review requests":

  3. Now you'll see a list of your requests.
  4. Click on "pending requests."
  5. A list of our courses and their submission dates will appear. Those are the dates in question! If the date of your submission is earlier than the date at the top of this page, then give us a call or drop us an email. If the date is later, we have simply not reached your item in the queue.

Note: if you proxied for someone, you will need to change your identity to theirs in the drop-down menu at the top. You can see individual items in your requests by clicking on the class name.
