The Music Library has self-service photocopiers on the main floor of the library. The copiers use the MCard for payment, which allows you to deduct your copies from your ITCS computing account. Copies made by students, faculty and staff are charged first against their free public printing allocation; if the printing allocation is exceeded, copies are charged at 6 cents per page.
You can also use one of the copiers in the library to scan materials to PDF and email the file to yourself as an attachment. This is a free service, and it's easy! There are step-by-step instructions posted above the machine.
For additional information, please visit the copy services page on the university libraries website.
If you wish to obtain a copy of a Music Library item that is out of copyright, the University Library's Digital Conversion Unit can provide you with scanned images of the item. Patrons can place a request for a digitized copy by filling out our online request form. There is no charge for this service. Once approved, requests may take 2 to 3 months to complete. The digitized volume will appear as a searchable image file in our digital repository, HathiTrust. Requestors will be sent a link to the volume once it has become available. Please contact the Music Library by phone (734-764-2512) or by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions about this service.
The University Library can duplicate microfilms that were created by the University of Michigan. The cost is $62 per film plus postage. Please contact the library by phone (734-764-2512) or by e-mail (email@example.com) if you are interested in obtaining a microfilm that is held by the Music Library.
