Learn about one of the most destructive invasive species to ever enter the Great Lakes, the sea lamprey, and the history of the invasion, and monumental efforts to control them. Cory Brant will talk about his award-winning book, "Great Lakes Sea Lamprey: The 70 Year War on a Biological Invader," followed by a Q&A. Attend this University of Michigan Press Great Lakes author event in honor of spring and Earth Day! Register for the Zoom webinar or watch the Facebook Live stream.

Brant is a researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey Great Lakes Science Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For over a decade, his work has focused on sea lampreys, particularly the species’ use of chemical communication and how to exploit that biology as a method of control.
