Last Train Home (2009) documents a couple embarking on a journey home for Chinese new year, along with 130 million other migrant workers, to reunite with their children and struggle for a future. Their unseen story plays out as China soars toward being a world superpower.
China Ongoing Perspectives (CHOP) is a movie/discussion series which provides selected documentary films that view greater China through the lens of everyday life, as well as overseas Chinese, immigrants, and travelers' experiences. The series is sponsored by U-M Library (Asia Library) and the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies (LRCCS).
