Learn about the ancient Indian epic, Ramayana. A literary force in South and Southeast Asia, it serves as a religious text, a guide for morality, and a story beloved by children and adults. Meet the hero, Rama, as well as a cast of eclectic characters — gods, kings, demons — each with their own background and motivations.

This exhibit was curated in 2019 by one of our Michigan Library Scholars, Estrella Salgado.
