Lawrence Young serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Specialist within the Dean's Office leadership team. Lawrence provides leadership, consultation, and programming to progress DEIA initiatives and workplace culture/climate. Lawrence is a Doctoral candidate in Organizational Leadership & DEI and has earned a Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership with a concentration in Social Justice. He has recently worked as an Employee Relations Investigator for Amazon and a Retention Coordinator and Lecturer for the Center for Multicultural Initiatives at Oakland University. Lawrence brings a deep level of skills and commitment to organizational leadership and workplace practices of diversity, equity and inclusion. He is experienced in program management, coaching and development, incident investigation, retention strategies and social awareness training.
