Librarian for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies

I cover Eastern Europe, Modern Greece, the former Soviet states and regions, and Mongolia.  Coverage includes materials produced by, or written about these areas and/or the people who speak languages associated with them, both in the vernacular, as well as most other languages.  We acquire titles through exchanges and donations, but mainly through purchases, by means of vendor-specific approval plans, individual orders, or patron requests.

Please see my CV for this information.

I maintain the collection by making decisions on selection, deselection, and preservation of materials.  I travel regularly to establish, or clarify, agreements with institutions abroad.

I also provide reference assistance classes for groups of patrons in my area, and work one-on-one with faculty, independent scholars, students, and other researchers to access and learn to access the resources that they ned.  I am liaison to faculty members for our area of coverage.  I am a member of several academic library organizations and their committees, and am an active participant on panels and roundtables at national and international meetings.  For my credentials, please see "My CV".
