About me

I am User Services Librarian in the Learning & Teaching division of the University Libraries.

I have a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan-Flint in Political Science and English and an A.M.L.S degree from the University of Michigan in Library Science.  Prior to my present position, I held positions as Reference/Instruction Librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and as Coordinator of Information Technology at UM's Shapiro Undergraduate Library.

I provide reference service at the Hatcher Graduate Library Ask A Librarian desk and virtual reference through the UM Ask A Librarian service.  I provide one-on-one and small group research consultations by appointment.

I am the administrator of the library's Ask A Librarian email reference service.

I provide instruction and consulting support for citation management software, including EndNote, Zotero, and Mendeley.

I plan, prepare, and provide instruction in one-on-one, small group, and large class environments; I author online instructional materials, and explore new methods of online instruction.

I participate in projects that directly support the goals and activities of the learning and teaching area such as wiki editing, web editing, and provide staff training/documentation, and serve on library committees and teams as assigned.
