Caitlin R Wells
Collection Services Librarian, Special Collections Research Center
I oversee the Collection Services unit within the Special Collections Research Center, where we arrange, describe, shelve, and retrieve books, manuscripts, and archival material for use by researchers, for classroom instruction, and for exhibition. I also work with staff from other units across the Library to route material for cataloging, conservation, and scanning. I serve on the desk in the Special Collections Reading Room several times a week.
I joined the Special Collections Research Center in January 2017. Prior to coming to Michigan, I was the Archivist for the Rio Grande Historical Collections at New Mexico State University. I have a Bachelor of Arts in history from Grinnell College, and a Master of Library Science with a concentration in archives and records management and Master of Arts in History, both from the University of Maryland, College Park.
