I work in the digital production unit of Michigan Publishing Services, a division of Michigan Publishing. My work is focused on the digital conversion of our journals program (over 30 open access scholarly journals) and project management of our books imprint, Maize Books. In addition to my job duties I serve on the Library Staff Forum Board, Publishing's Ebook Accessibility Task force, and as the chair of Publishing's Social Committee.
I was born in Ann Arbor and raised in Plymouth, spending most of my life in southeast Michigan. I studied English with an emphasis in creative writing at Hope College, completing my bachelor's in 2010. While at Hope I served as the editor-in-chief of our student-run literary magazine, Opus, as well as a copyeditor for the College's newspaper. In fall of 2012 I moved to Boston to attend Emerson College, finishing with my master's in Publishing and Writing in May, 2014. During my time in Michigan and Boston, I've held internships and positions with Sleeping Bear Press, The Good Men Project, Emerson College, Pearson, and prior to coming home to Michigan, with The MIT Press as a Digital Production Coordinator.
