Provides online full-text access to many of the Springer electronic journals along with many electronic books and series.

Personal copies of some books can be purchased for $24.99 each through a service offered by Springer called MyCopy. The MyCopy offer is currently valid for over 20,000 Springer eBooks. Books are new soft cover editions with a color cover and black and white book content. NOTE (March 6, 2015): The online ordering system for MyCopy titles is not working correctly and sometimes indicates the price to order a book is the full retail price of the title. You can call Springer Customer Service at 1-800-777-4643 to order a MyCopy title at the correct price. To be eligible for the MyCopy service, books must be:

  • Fewer than 1,200 pages
  • Single titles (not part of a multi-volume set)
  • Published 2005 or later
  • English language

Description

The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a NASA-funded project which maintains three bibliographic databases containing more than 4.4 million records: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics, and ArXiv e-prints. The main body of data in the ADS consists of bibliographic records, which are searchable through the Abstract Service query forms, and full-text of some of the astronomical literature which can be browsed though the Browse interface. To activate our MGet It (formerly SFX) services, choose "Open URL Settings" from the ADS "Preferences" page: http://adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/pref_set Select "Library Server" for "University of Michigan" and save. This is a cookie-based system, so settings will be removed when you delete cookies. Coverage is typically (but not always comprehensively) back to 1975, with some coverage of pre-1975 years.
